Review: Nature TV – Hometown

Posted byTravis SmithAugust 12, 2020New Music, ReviewsNature TV

Hometown is the latest single from Nature TV, who are door-to-door heartbreak salesmen and a four-piece indie-pop group based in Brighton. This track had me consistently hitting the replay button, and I don’t think I’m going to stop listening to it anytime soon.

The song starts with a pleasant-sounding riff that constantly variates as the song continues. It reminds me a lot of that classic jangle-pop sound, with guitar passages flying past really quickly and it adds a lot of character to the track. The tone is a big win too, and the drumming is exceptionally tight with a fast and upbeat flow. I can’t emphasize enough how insanely groovy Hometown is, especially on the part where the drums break into a sway around the midway point. Oh, and the vocal and bass parts are as smooth as honey and flow well with the overall vibe.

Hometown is a very satisfying listening experience that is both calm and buoyant from beginning to end. I highly recommend you check it out now. Cheers.
