Full to the brim with catchy melodies and brilliant guitar work, the new offering from Fuzzy Sun is an indie-pop delight. This band are no strangers to genre-blending excellence, and A Modern Kind Of Blue/Sorry Honey is no exception.
As you’d expect, from the moment A Modern Kind Of Blue kicks in we’re treated to a driving drum beat that will inspire dance moves in even the shyest person at the party. This is expertly paired with the “fuzzy” (sorry) sounding bassline and will be an instant favourite with fans. A highlight of this tune is the guitar solo, which veers on playing like it’s straight out of a cheesy seventies rock ballad without ever going too far into that territory. The vocals throughout are a joy on the ears too.
The harmonies are equally great in Sorry Honey, a fantastically relaxing song that is perfect for the spring weather we’re currently experiencing. Although there isn’t much to do right now, we suggest going for a walk and putting this track on. You’ll feel much better about life.
A strong, assured release from a band that continues to put out great work, we can’t wait to see what they do next. For now, sit back, relax, and enjoy the masterful tones of Fuzzy Sun.
