Did you plan an exercise routine for the week, then order four takeaways in three days? Does your shopping list mention the following items; Pot Noodle, Kellogg’s Coco Pops, and Mccain Quick Chips? Do you want to get all sweaty and lose a couple of calories? I have a solution; an indie-pop track about self-loathing called Vince by Wakey Wakey Rise & Shine.
There are three simple rules you have to abide by before listening to Vince. First, you must wear comfortable gym clothes or strip down naked. If you chose the latter, remember to close the curtains; we don’t want to give ninety-year-old Barbara a heart attack. Second, find a room with the most space. Independent Music News will not be liable for any damages. And the final rule, press play and go mental. Lose all those inhibitions, the negative thoughts that float around your brain. Don’t be a Vince, be a Joe Wicks or a Mr Motivator. Life is too short to worry.
That was a long ramble, but I think you get the point. Vince is a complicated character, but the soundtrack to his life is fantastic. It’s indie, and it’s lively. Don’t expect a chirpy tone or lyrics about the seaside. No, this is a deep and honest dive into the band’s psyche, and for a debut single, it’s highly impressive. I can’t wait to see what they do next.
You can listen to Vince now on Independent Music News. I hope you enjoy it!
