I currently spend a good portion of my life daydreaming about better things. Mostly about beer gardens. No matter how hard you try to replicate that Wetherspoons vibe, it’s the comforting crowds of questionable people, and the childish excitement of sending twenty orders of beans to the unsuspecting victims at table four that gives it that weird, je ne sais quoi. Being from Norway, I’m not sure This Daze will have a clue what I’m going on about, so let’s get down to it!
So Lost is a vibrant, indie-punk treat that will have you feeling fresh, young and fancy-free! It’s a happy-go-lucky frenzy of upbeat and bouncy electric guitar, drums and bass. Cool indie vocals kick in, and the collective sound is reminiscent of The Libertines. It’s “angsty but cute” as This Daze so accurately describe it.
Lyrically, So Lost is catchy, punchy and charming. I feel like I’ve well and truly abandoned reality and enthusiastically jumped onto the This Daze party bus. It’s a song I’ll happily have in my head for the rest of the day.
You can listen to So Lost on all major platforms from the 15th of May. Ditch reality for a while and have a dance. You know you want to.
