Today’s premiere is For All Of This Music by indie-folk artist Fairhazel, and it’s a bloody delight too. The tune is so stacked with positivity and feel-good vibes, it feels like I’m getting one of those motivational talks from a celebrity who’s teeth are unnaturally white. I might start running up and down my hallway, screaming about the power of manifesting my own destiny and make completely unrealistic goals. I’ll be prime minister by the time I’m thirty. Hold on! I’m thirty-one. Damn it.
For All Of This Music begins quietly, almost similar in tone to a lullaby, with some calming and beautiful acoustic guitar work. The vocals join shortly afterwards, and the passion in the voice of the singer is immediately apparent. The song feels like a homemade, all-engrossing hug, giving you a truly comforting sensation. It’s one of those lie-down and close your eyes type tunes, almost bordering on the meditative.
Fairhazel kicks it up a notch about halfway through the song, gradually gaining speed and introducing other instruments, additional vocals and a feeling of building towards an epic conclusion. It finishes up with a triumphant return to the solo guitar, and at just over two minutes, it feels like one to replay immediately.
Fairhazel’s For All Of This Music is out tomorrow. Listen to it now on Independent Music News!
