With the sun having receded once again, hopes of summer drinking sessions are dashed against the rocks and consumed by the waves of dull British weather. In light of this, I never thought I’d say the words “I love Cloud Factory”, but that day is here. No Data is the latest single by the garage-pop masters. Taken from their upcoming debut EP titled Cloud Factory #1, it’s a brilliantly crunchy and lo-fi piece of music that will have you tapping your feet under the desk on your first day back at work.
Hailing from Toulouse, Cloud Factory have a distinctly French sound that is organic and original, yet proudly bears the marks of various influences. Fronted by lead singer Alice Cyprine, the band was formed through a combination of members from other local groups like Cathedrale and Noir City to create something new and powerful. Exciting things are coming for the DIY post-punk rockers, who are working alongside Howlin’ Banana Records and Le Cèpe Records.
Having previously delivered the song Amnesia, Cloud Factory are going from strength to strength, with No Data proving that they’ve got plenty of good tunes in the bag just waiting to be released. We can’t wait to hear the full EP out on 3rd July, but for now, check out the fantastic No Data.
