Warrington-based indie band Aligners are building a loyal following with everything they do. If you want to understand why, listen to their new single, Sixties Hearse, and everything will make sense. Here at Independent Music News, we’re happy to be sharing this brilliant song with our readers.
Everyone has felt the all too familiar pang of longing for a person that you can’t be with. Whether that’s an ex or someone who never loved you back, these lyrics tap into the heartbreaking infatuation that can keep you up all night. But it’s not all well-crafted lyrics, as this is a track that will stick in your head for days. With soaring guitar hooks and enchanting pop melodies, there is a lot to love about Sixties Hearse.
The production is excellent thanks to Sugar House (Viola Beach, Pale Waves, Larkins), and you can hear the quality shining through the speakers. With lockdown making us a gig-less society, Sixties Hearse will make you sad because you won’t be able to catch Aligners live any time soon, but rest assured, I’ll be in the front row once this is all over.
