Here at Independent Music News, we occasionally have a moment where the lightbulb switches on above our heads. This has given us mixed results. We now have a radio station and a podcast studio, for example. But for every fantastic thought, we have ten branded cement sort of ideas. Speaking of which, where do you buy your cement? B&Q! Nice.
The newest concept is a podcast called Agony Artist. The premise is we solve problems with the musicians, agony aunt-style. Just call us Deidre. Stephen Billington is the host of it, and the artist on today was Dougie Turner of the fantastically talented indie band, Alleyways. They solved five issues; stolen baby names, someone who loves to shag too much, not being invited on holiday, a dickhead boss, and a man who kissed a dog’s bottom and felt a bit weird about it. In between the show, they also talked about the band’s latest single, Over It, covering famous TikTok songs, their other music, and how gigging very rarely goes without incident. We hope you enjoy the podcast!
