Live Session: Joe Astley – Revolution Postponed

Posted byDaniel FaganFebruary 26, 2020Features, Live SessionsJoe Astley

Back in December 2019, during the height of the UK general election drama, silk voiced songwriter Joe Astley found himself frustrated with the current state of affairs and released a song that resonated with the disillusioned youth of modern Britain. The Dylan inflected track attracted the attention of national radio stations and social media alike, so we knew we had to get Joe down to perform a session for us.

Oozing charisma and lyrical prowess, Revolution Postponed is a treat to see live. The single has a rare sincerity stitched into its DNA, something that is less common nowadays, and you get the sense it was written in a state of flow. We’re lucky enough to be sharing this track with you at Independent Music News, and we can’t wait to see what Joe has in store for us next.
