As I sit my fat ass down once again on the plush seat of my current IMN workspace (aka, my flat), I glance at my email inbox. It’s a terrible mess, with so-called inspiring speakers, single women in my area, and an arts and crafts website being the bulk of the correspondence. But one stands out, and I realise I’m in for a treat. We have a special one for you today. Rapper Tino had a chat with Columbus resident and fellow MC, TrigNO, and it’s a fantastic interview.
The two artists cover many bases including the current civil unrest, TrigNO’s encounters with the police, the protest he attended for the Black Lives Matter movement, and how rap as a whole is addressing these issues. He also talked about his music, chatting about a recent mixtape he was a part of, the religious themes in his songs, his constant callouts of Jay Z, and much, much more. There’s even a freestyle at the end. Lovely stuff. Seriously, this is one you’ll want to check out. Have a look below. Ta!
