Jade and Xavier are a wonderfully talented dark pop, hip-hop duo, otherwise known as The Black Creatures. Following the release of their single Wretched (It Goes), they have re-emerged with their newest album, Wild Echoes.
Stephen Billington had the privilege to have a virtual catch-up with the duo and spoke to them about a variety of subjects; including Jade’s interest in dream reflection, their use of YouTube as a platform, how writing is a therapeutic process for them, as well as how artistic honesty is an important factor in songwriting.
They also took a deep dive into the subject matter of Wild Echoes, specifically their single Wretched (It Goes), which lead to a lengthy discussion regarding their personal experiences with the police and issues of race in general.
