Another interview? No, surely not, you say to yourself. Independent Music News cannot be providing me with another one so soon. I’ve not been good enough. Well, we are giving it to you, ramming it into your beautiful faces. It’s a brilliant feature too. Rebecca Aston once again smashing it out the park with a chat with Sean DeCory. He’s a photographer, author and all-round good lad.
The focus of this interview is centred around his photography book, Toronto DIY 2008-2013, which is about the city’s punk scene during those years. Rebecca talks to Sean about what attracted him to the movement, the conditions of the environment he captured, how the punk/hardcore culture influenced him to create this book, and how long the whole thing took.
It’s a fascinating insight into a fantastic book. Give it a listen below. Cheers!
